The present invention relates to methods and pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of cancer. In particular one aspect of the present invention relates to a method of the treatment of cancer in a patient in need thereof comprising the steps of i) determining the expression level of NTS and/or NTSR1 in tumor sample obtained from the patient, ii) comparing the expression level determined at step i) with a predetermined reference value and iii) administering the patient with a therapeutically effective amount of at least one HER inhibitor when the expression level determined at step i) is higher than the predetermined reference level.La présente invention concerne des méthodes et des compositions pharmaceutiques pour le traitement du cancer. En particulier, un aspect de la présente invention concerne une méthode de traitement anticancéreuse chez le patient le nécessitant, comprenant i) une étape de détermination du niveau dexpression de NTS et/ou de NTSR1 dans un échantillon de tumeur prélevé sur le patient, ii) une étape de comparaison du niveau dexpression déterminé à létape i) avec une valeur de référence déterminée au préalable, et iii) une étape dadministration au patient dune quantité thérapeutiquement efficace dau moins un inhibiteur de HER lorsque le niveau dexpression déterminé à létape i) est plus élevé que celui du niveau de référence déterminé au préalable.
