PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter where flexibility is secured in a tip end part of a shaft and followability of the tip end part of the shaft to a guide wire is improved.SOLUTION: A baloon catheter 10 includes: a shaft 100 having an inner cavity 121； and a balloon 180 having a tip end waist part 182, a base end waist part 183, and a main body part 184 positioned between the tip end waist part and the base end waist part. The tip end waist part and the base end waist part are fixed to the shaft.
