590878 Disclosed is a formulation comprising an halogenated amine compound of Formula (I), which is dispersed in a poly(acrylic acid) and/or a poly(ethylene oxide) water-swellable polymer and wherein the compound is 90% stable for at least 30 days at about 25 degrees C. Specific examples of compounds of Formula (I) include: N,N-dichloro-2,2-dimethyltaurine, N-chloro-2,2-dimethyltaurine, N-chloro-4-amino-4-phosphonobutyric acid, N,N-dichloro-leucine boronic acid； 3-(dichloroamino)-N,N-diethyl-N,3-dimethylbutan-1-aminium chloride； and 3-(dichloroamino)-N,N,N-triethyl-3-methylbutan-1-aminium chloride； The formulations are useful for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of an infection caused by a bacterial, a microbial, a sporal, a fungal or a viral activity.
