Disclosed is the use of a pharmaceutical dosage form containing a pharmacologically active agent formulated for oral administration once daily in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of neuropathic pain, wherein the pharmacologically active agent is selected from 6&rsquo；-fluoro-N,N-dimethyl-4-phenyl-4&rsquo；,9&rsquo；-dihydro-3&rsquo；H-spiro[cyclohexane-1,1&rsquo；-pyrano[3,4-b]indol]-4-amine or 6&rsquo；-fluoro-N-methyl-4-phenyl-4&rsquo；,9&rsquo；-dihydro-3&rsquo；H-spiro[cyclohexane-1,1&rsquo；-pyrano[3,4-b]indol]-4-amine (including cebranopadol) or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof； and which contains the pharmacologically active agent in a dose of from 10 µg to 190 µg, expressed as weight equivalent dosages based upon the free base.
