A sterilization system uses ultraviolet radiation and ozone toeradicate deadly pathogens to sterilize wound/incision sites. Thesterilization systemoffers a safe sterilization method prior to or after surgery and/or closurewounds/incisions. The sterilization system has ultraviolet emitters that emitultraviolet light inwavelengths that kill pathogens and in wavelengths that produce ozone at thesites,therefore killing/disabling several hard-to-kill pathogens. The sterilizationsystemhas surface detectors to enable ultraviolet emission only when the system isproperly seated against the skin so as to protect from unwanted radiation fromtheultraviolet light.
