PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly capable of preferably preventing erroneous puncture by making the most tip end of an inner needle to be not exposed.SOLUTION: A catheter assembly 10 includes a catheter 12, and a hollow inner needle 14 having a most tip end 15b in a predetermined position on a circumferential direction in a front view. The catheter assembly 10 includes a shutter part 71 that is more blunt than the most tip end 15b of the inner needle 14, and a blunt needle 70 arranged in the inner needle 14 so as to freely move back and forth.
