PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a symptom discrimination device capable of reducing the chances of misjudging a patient to be healthy, thus, enhancing the accuracy of detecting patients.SOLUTION: A symptom discrimination device (S) includes: body temperature measuring means (C1A) for measuring the temperature of a subject; heart rate measuring means (C1B) for measuring the heart rate of the subject; respiratory frequency measuring means (C1C) for measuring the respiratory frequency of the subject; mapping means (C7) for preparing a self-organizing map on the basis of the measured body temperature, heart rate, and respiratory frequency; and classification means (C8) for classifying the subject into any one of normal, mild, and severe on the basis of the prepared self-organizing map using the k-means method.
