PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a symptom discrimination device capable of reducing the chances of misjudging a patient to be healthy, thus, enhancing the accuracy of detecting patients.SOLUTION: A symptom discrimination device (S) includes: body temperature measuring means (C1A) for measuring the temperature of a subject； heart rate measuring means (C1B) for measuring the heart rate of the subject； respiratory frequency measuring means (C1C) for measuring the respiratory frequency of the subject； mapping means (C7) for preparing a self-organizing map on the basis of the measured body temperature, heart rate, and respiratory frequency； and classification means (C8) for classifying the subject into any one of normal, mild, and severe on the basis of the prepared self-organizing map using the k-means method.
