PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel body including a lock mechanism having a simple structure, and capable of being constituted including a mechanism for locking a door, only by a wire, and a pet cage using the panel body.SOLUTION: A panel body 1 has a lock mechanism 11 where a door body 9 is tiltably attached to a frame part 3 with a rotation shaft 7 side as a fulcrum, and opening of the door body 9 is prevented in a state of closing the door body 9. The lock mechanism 11 includes: a hook part 19 provided near an opening 5 in the frame part 3, and having an extension part 19a fixed to the frame part 3 on a base end side thereof and extended forward, and a standing part 19b upward standing from a front end of the extension part 19a a lock bar 27 provided above the hook part 19 an engaging bar 21 provided on the door body 9 side, and inserted into the inside of the standing part 19b of the hook part 19 to be engaged and a lock side part 29 provided on the door body 9 side, projecting in a door body closing direction, engaged with the lock bar 27 in a state of closing the door body 9, and regulating the tilting of the door body 9.
