The proposed technical solution (utility model) refers to the field of devices that are distinguished by optical measuring devices, in particular, to interferometers and can be used in medicine and veterinary medicine for diagnostics in the cavities and tracts of the body, as well as in physics for the study or analysis of materials using optical means.The technical task of the utility model is to increase the tissue contrast on the resulting structural images, by measuring the polarization properties (in addition to the intensity) of the scattered backward and backward reflected radiation from the biomedical object under study.The technical task is achieved by the use of polarizing optical elements (polarizer, quarter-wave plates, polarization beam separator) in the device for endoscopic optical coherence tomography, which allows to determine not only the depolarizing properties of the biomedical objects under study or their parts, but also the birefringence parameters, which means obtaining additional structural information about the biomedical object under investigation and, as a consequence, increases the tissue co The intensity of the resulting structural images. Two-channel detection of scattered back and back reflected radiation from the biomedical object under study, as well as features in the construction of the support arm and the sample arm, allow to avoid additional losses of the useful signal, which also contributes to an increase in the tissue contrast of the resulting structural images.
