PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for acquiring an image with high spatial resolution while suppressing a scale of signal processing in an object information acquiring apparatus for performing adaptive signal processing by receiving an ultrasonic wave signal.SOLUTION: The object information acquiring apparatus includes: a plurality of conversion elements which receive acoustic waves emitted from the object and convert the acoustic waves into electrical signals a correlation calculator which calculates correlation data by using the plurality of electrical signals output from the plurality of conversion elements an average correlation calculator which calculates an average correlation matrix by extracting a plurality of submatrices from the correlation data and averaging the submatrices and an adaptive signal processor which generates power distribution by performing adaptive signal processing by using the average correlation matrix and calculating the power of each target position, wherein the correlation calculator calculates the correlation data by obtaining correlation of input signals that are separated by at least one or more input signal among the input signals.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】超音波信号を受信して適応型信号処理を行う被検体情報取得装置において、信号処理の規模を抑制しつつ、空間分解能の高い画像取得を可能にする技術を提供する。【解決手段】被検体から放出された音響波を受信して電気信号に変換する複数の変換素子と、複数の変換素子から出力される複数の電気信号を用いて相関データを算出する相関算出部と、相関データから複数の部分行列を抽出し平均化して平均相関行列を算出する平均相関算出部と、平均相関行列を用いて適応型信号処理を行い、注目位置ごとの電力を算出して電力分布を生成する適応型信号処理部を有し、相関算出部は入力される入力信号のうち少なくとも1つ以上離れた入力信号同士の相関を求め相関データを算出する被検体情報取得装置を用いる。【選択図】図2
