PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-remover composition that is capable of effectively removing an oxidation hair dye from hair dyed with the oxidation hair dye, without decomposing melanin pigment, by suppressing a particular pigment from remaining in the hair, and is capable of reducing hair damage, and a dye-removing treatment method using the dye-remover composition.SOLUTION: The dye-remover composition is used for removing a dye from hair dyed with an oxidation hair dye and comprises at least butyrolactonethiol.
