The invention relates to a device for the therapeutic treatment and/or thetraining of the lowerextremities of a human having driven and controlled movement devices (11a,11b) which areconnected to a stationary frame (12) and comprise holding members (13a, 13b)for fastening ofone extremity, each, which holding members (13a, 13b) can be movedindependently of one an-other along walking trajectories, wherein the movement devices (11a, 11b) eachcomprise a pivotarm (14a, 14b) pivotable into different elevations, the pivot arm (14a, 14b)being rotatably connectedto one single sled (15) on a linear track (16). The invention is characterizedin that a firstrotational drive (17) is attached to a single sled (15), which firstrotational drive is connected tothe pivot arm (14) for changing the elevation of the respective holding member(13a, 13b),wherein the pivot arm (14) comprises a second rotational drive (19) forchanging the inclinationof the respective holding member (13a, 13b), and wherein the sled (15) isconnected to a lineardrive (18) for changing the longitudinal position of the respective holdingmember (13a, 13b).
