The present invention provides a portable compression device (10) for selectively applying a compressive force to a limb of a user (50). The device includes one or more inflatable bladders (18, 20, 22) and a pumping means (24, 26, 28) for selectively inflating and deflating each bladder thereby selectively applying an inwardly directed compressive force to the limb.
