PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image detector whose moisture-proof property can be improved and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A scintillator 20 for converting X-rays into visible light comprises a scintillator main body 20a in a rectangular plate shape and projections 20b respectively projecting outward from four corners of the scintillator main body 20a. The scintillator 20 is covered with a scintillator protection film 23 in a rectangular sheet shape and protected. Although a surface area of the scintillator protection film 23 in the rectangular sheet shape is larger than a surface area of the scintillator main body 20a by an area of the corners, wrinkles and bending are less likely to occur at the corners of the scintillator protection film 23 because the projections 20b increase a surface area of the scintillator 20.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】防湿性を向上させることができる放射線画像検出装置及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】X線を可視光に変換するシンチレータ20は、矩形の板形状をしたシンチレータ本体20aと、シンチレータ本体20aの四隅から外側にそれぞれ突出された突出部20bとを備えている。シンチレータ20は、矩形のシート状をしたシンチレータ保護膜23により覆われて保護されている。シート状のシンチレータ保護膜23の表面積は、角部の面積分だけシンチレータ本体20aの表面積よりも大きくなるが、突出部20bによりシンチレータ20の表面積を増やしているため、シンチレータ保護膜23の角部にシワや折れが生じにくくなる。【選択図】図3
