PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of detecting estrus and indwell a sensor in the vagina for a long time without impairing the health of livestock.SOLUTION: This estrus detection device includes a cylindrical member 11 having a hollow part 11a, and a bioinformation sensor 12 disposed on an inner wall of the hollow part 11a. The cylindrical member 11 is configured into such a diameter as pressing the vagina wall of the livestock to the outside, so that the estrus detection device 10 is pushed in and indwelled in the vagina by a pressure of the cylindrical member 11 pushing the vagina wall of the livestock to the outside, and, in this state, body fluid secreted in the vagina passes through the hollow part 11a and discharged outside the vagina. The bioinformation sensor 12 includes a plurality of detecting portions 12a, and detects bioinformation from the body fluid coming into contact with the detecting portions 12a, so that, whatever attitude the livestock takes, a possibility that the body fluid flowing inside the hollow part 11a may come into contact with either detecting portion 12a is enhanced so as to improve the detection sensitivity of the body fluid in the vagina.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】発情検出の精度を向上させることができ、かつ、家畜の健康を損なわずに膣内にセンサを長時間留置させておくことができるようにする。【解決手段】中空部11aを有する筒状部材11と、中空部11aの内壁に配置された生体情報センサ12とを備え、家畜の膣壁を外側に押圧可能な径の大きさに筒状部材11を構成することにより、筒状部材11が家畜の膣壁を外側に押す圧力によって発情検出装置10が膣内に押し留められるようにし、この状態で膣内に分泌された体液が中空部11aを通流して膣外へと排出されるようにする。生体情報センサ12は複数の検出部12aを有し、当該検出部12aに接触する体液から生体情報を検出することにより、家畜がどのような姿勢にあっても、中空部11a内を流れる体液が何れかの検出部12aに接触する可能性が高くなるようにして、膣内の体液の検出感度を良好にする。【選択図】図1
