The present invention relates to a promoter specific to root hairs of monocotyledonous plants, and a use thereof. The promoter of the present invention regulates expression of genes required for trait improvement for root hair, and thus can be useful for improving traits for root hair such as nutrient uptake through root hair in major monocotyledonous plants or crops including rice.본 발명은 단자엽 식물의 뿌리털 우선적 프로모터 및 이의 용도에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 프로모터는 뿌리털 형질 개선에 필요한 유전자 발현을 조절하여 벼를 포함하는 주요 단자엽 식물체 내지 곡물의 뿌리털에 의한 양분의 흡수능 증진 등의 뿌리털 형질 개선에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
