PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which operation efficiency during dissolving of cation-modified water-soluble polymer powder in water is improved for sufficiently preventing formation of undissolved lumps during dissolving thereof in water in the method because a cation-modified water-soluble polymer has higher hydrating properties than those of a cation-unmodified water-soluble polymer.SOLUTION: The method for granulating the cation-modified water-soluble polymer is carried out as follows. Water or an aqueous solution of the cation-modified water-soluble polymer as a binder is added to the cation-modified water-soluble polymer and hydration and granulation are then conducted until the moisture in the cation-modified water-soluble polymer becomes the range of 1-13 mass%.
