PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and an ultrasonic diagnostic method, with which a sound speed value (local sound speed value) in any region to be diagnosed in a subject can be calculated with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus includes an ultrasonic probe including a plurality of ultrasonic transducers for transmitting ultrasonic waves to a subject, receiving ultrasonic waves to be reflected against the subject, and outputting ultrasonic detection signals.
