Analysis and roentgenometry are performed by images of shin, made after elimination of angular and transversal displacements of splinters. On roentgenograms made in frontal and lateral projections, through apexes of cuneate protrusions and corresponding to them grooves on opposite ends of fracture line, parallel to bone longitudinal axis, straight lines are drawn. If in any of the pairs there is mismatch of straight lines, conclusion about presence of rotational displacement of fragments is made. Direction of displacement is determined by location of cuneate protrusion relative to groove or by presence of difference in width of bone splinters at fracture level, its value being determined with application of mathematical formula: A= n(360/πL), where A is the value of rotation angle n is the distance between straight lines drawn through the apex of cuneate protrusion and corresponding to it groove L is the width of bone splinter at the level of cuneate groove apex, determined by roentgenogram, made in projection, perpendicular to the previously analysed image.
