The invention relates to improving wear resistance of coated seed, and to a method, coated seed, a use of an abrasive material, primer or plasma and to an apparatus for coating of seed. One of the methods comprises: subjecting seed to a surface treatment, and applying a coating layer onto the treated surface of the seed, by film coating with a liquid coating composition comprising a polymeric binder. The invention also relates to a seed coating composition comprising a one or more water-insoluble polymers with a Tg of at least 35 °C and related methods for coating seed, coated seed, a use, a method of preparing a seed coating composition, and a kit of parts.Linvention concerne lamélioration de résistance à lusure de semences enrobée, et un procédé, une semence enrobée, lutilisation dun matériau abrasif, dun apprêt ou dun plasma, et un appareil denrobage de semence. Lun des procédés comprend la soumission dune semence à un traitement de surface, et lapplication dune couche denrobage sur la surface traitée de la semence, par enrobage par un film avec une composition denrobage liquide comprenant un liant polymère. Linvention concerne également une composition denrobage de semences comprenant un ou plusieurs polymères insolubles dans leau avec une Tg dau moins 35 °C et des procédés associés pour lenrobage de semences, une semence enrobée, une utilisation, un procédé de préparation dune composition denrobage de semence, et un kit déléments.
