The present invention relates to a holding device capable of additionally installing a fishing rod (1) in a fishing rod fixing apparatus (2). The device for holding a fishing rod comprises: a holding unit (10) including a holding fixture (11) holding a fishing rod (1) and a length bar (13) having a fixed length in the lower end of the holding fixture (11)； a fixing unit (20) including a fixing bar (21) for coupling the holding unit (10) with a screw (23) to be fixed to a fishing rod fixing apparatus (2)； and a height regulating means (30) placed on the holding unit (10) and the fixing unit (20) respectively, and selectively regulating the height thereof while fixing the holding unit (10).
