A hearing device 101 includes a processing unit 202 that compensates for a hearing loss of a user of the hearing device, and an interface 204. The processing unit receives a session request for a session via an interface, obtains and stores a session key. The processing unit encrypts the stored session key based on the auditory device key and sends a session response containing the encrypted session key. After sending the session response, the processing unit receives the session data in the session through the interface.
