PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens holding structure capable of reducing strained stress applied to a cylindrical caulked edge of a lens holding frame to prevent a crack from occurring in lenses held by the lens holding frame.SOLUTION: A lens holding structure comprises: a lens holding frame 31 including a metal cylindrical member and having a cylindrical caulked edge 32 formed in at least one end of the metal cylindrical member and lenses L1 and L2 held by the lens holding frame 31 by inserting them into the lens holding frame 31 so as to regulate those positions in an optical axis direction and mechanically caulking the cylindrical caulked edge 32 inward.
