PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate a users load when the image of an arbitrary tomographic image is compared and diagnostically read in a three-dimensional medical image.
SOLUTION: First and second conditions for specifying a reference cross section are acquired in each of the three-dimensional medical images (hereinafter, they are taken as first and second three-dimensional medical images S1 and S2) of which the series are different, and which are compared and diagnostically read. In the first three-dimensional medical image S1, a third condition for specifying a cross section to be displayed is acquired. Then, a shifting amount between the reference cross section and the display cross section is calculated from the first condition and the third condition. A fourth condition for displaying the display cross section of the second three-dimensional medical image S2 anatomically at the same position as the display cross section in the first three-dimensional medical image S1 is acquired conforming to the second condition to specify the reference cross section of the second three-dimensional medical image S2 and the shifting amount.
