To provide a novel structure medical connector that can be retrofitted to an end portion of a catheter.SOLUTION: In a medical connector 10, a connector main body 18 is provided with a port portion 42 to which a catheter 12 having an external diameter of 3 mm or less is externally mountable. The connector main body 18 also has, between the connector main body and a tightening cap 16, a tightening mechanism 82 which makes the tightening cap 16 axially approach the connector main body 18 by a relative rotation of 180 degrees or less to guide the tightening cap to a fixed position where the catheter 12 externally mounted to the port portion 42 is held.
