The light projecting optical system (70) is configured to irradiate the background light at a luminance corresponding to dark adaptation and irradiate the stimulation light and the background light in a first wavelength band having a lower limit on a longer wavelength side than a sensitivity peak of blue cone cells and an upper limit on a shorter wavelength side than a sensitivity peak of green cone cells, the first wavelength band being a wavelength band including at least a sensitivity peak of rod cells.
