PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatically expanding vertebral body implant by elasticity that is automatically expanded or folded, has a small volume and is convenient in use, and has a small volume to reduce a range of hurting a human body in surgery and thereby can hasten recovery.SOLUTION: An automatically expanding vertebral body implant comprises a base part 11 and extension parts 12, 13 of both sides. The extension parts 12, 13 comprise a body 10 comprising end edges 15, 16 and connecting members 20, 30 stored in a base part 11 and the extension parts 12, 13 of the body 10. The connecting members 20, 30 comprise end edges 21, 31, and are connected with the end edges 15, 16 of the body 10 in a hinge joint system. The body 10 and at least one of the connecting members 20, 30 have elasticity, and comprise a capability to deform freely.
