Disclosed is a ventilation mask system for delivery of gaseous or air respiratory therapy such as CPAP to a patient, comprising a frame； a nares portion having a pair of nozzles, a nose tip engagement portion that engages and seals with the patient’s nose tip and an attachment ring. The attachment ring is adapted to removably attach the nares portion to the frame via a snap-fit connection； a headgear assembly that is designed to removably attach to the frame and retain the mask system in position on the head of the patient； and an elbow having a vent portion configured to vent expired air, and wherein the elbow is attached to the frame via a ball and socket arrangement.
