PURPOSE: A laser therapy apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to prevent an incident field from being overheated. CONSTITUTION: A laser therapy apparatus comprises a laser generator(110), an infrared temperature sensor(120), an infrared ray reflection mirror(130), a cooling part(140), and a controller(150). The laser generator treats blood vessel disease, tumor, varicose vein, skin, and the like. The infrared temperature sensor emits infrared rays to an incident field, detects the infrared rays reflected from the incident field, and measures the temperature of the incident field. The infrared ray reflection mirror is arranged in an optical path, passes lasers, and guides the infrared rays to optical fiber. The cooling part supplies refrigerant to the incident field. The controller controls the supply quantity of the refrigerant.
