A rooting plug structure and a method Abstract The invention relates to a rooting plug structure made from a substrate including organic and/or non-organic material for cultivation of a plant. The structure has a strip-shaped geometry that is deformable from a flat state to a curved state. In the flat state the structure generally extends in a flat plane. In the curved state the structure at least partially surrounds a volume. In the flat state, the strip-shaped geometry has a pair of mutually opposite short side edges and a pair of mutually opposite long side edges. The geometry also has a bottom surface forming, in its curved state, a convex side. Further, the geometry has a top surface forming, in its curved state, a concave side. Preferably, the top surface has a relief pattern extending between the pair of mutually opposite short side edges. Figure 1
