PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head reaping device of a head-forming vegetable harvester capable of smoothly performing cutting of a stem and discharge to an intermediate conveyor to improve work efficiency by avoiding entanglement of outer leaves of the head-forming vegetable to be harvested.SOLUTION: The head reaping device 3 of the head-forming vegetable harvester comprises a positioning and holding means 6 to hold a head A of the head-forming vegetable to a definite position during a moving process of a machine body and a cutting means 7 acting immediately under the held head A.
