PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic which well slips brushes and heat-generating hair care instruments, is not sticky, finishes into a style having fluffy feeling, and prevents or reduces hair damages accompanying heat treatment.SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic includes: a lactone derivative (A) of meadowfoam seed oil 0.1-5 mass%, in all of a composition, of a resin (B) containing an amine oxide group 0.1-5 mass%, in all of the composition, of a poly(oxyethylene-oxypropylene)-alkylene-methylpolysiloxane copolymer (C) having an HLB of 13-15 0.1-5 mass%, in all of the composition, of at least one species selected from propylene oxide polymers (D) represented by general formula (1) wherein the hair cosmetic is coated on hair before using heat-generating hair care instruments.
