A circulatory organ function arithmetic calculation device (1) having a compression section (10), a pressure detection unit (30), a pressure control unit (20), a pulse wave detection unit (40), and a characteristics value arithmetic calculation unit (50). The compression section (10) compresses a section to be measured, on the measurement subject. The pressure detection unit (30) detects the compression pressure generated by the compression section (10). The pulse wave detection unit (40) detects a plurality of pulse waves (W) on the basis of output signals from the pressure detection unit (30) during a compression pressure variation process caused by the pressure control unit (20). The characteristics value arithmetic calculation unit (50) generates converted information by at least combining the pulse wave information for the plurality of pulse waves (W), generates a plurality of variable values from the converted information, enters the plurality of variable values into an arithmetic formula having a plurality of variables and coefficients found by prior multivariate analysis, and calculates the characteristics values for the circulatory organ function.
