The present invention generally relates to a containment device for aquaculture of larvae or aquatic organisms that allows diversification of aquaculture. The devices are connectable and stackable. In particular, the present invention provides a containment state to advance various marine / aquatic larval metamorphosis, maturation and colonization processes that later become fry or juveniles for industrial pre-fattening stages. In which the larvae are maintained in their natural living environment. The devices also promote their development under aquaculture by generally allowing for the accommodation of aquatic organisms. The invention also relates to an aquaculture system and method comprising the step of using such a containment device.
