PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel external or internal preparations excellent in hyaluronic acid production-promoting action.SOLUTION: Extract of Actinidia arguta has an excellent hyaluronic acid production-promoting action, and is excellent also in stability. A hyaluronic acid exists also in the joint and is known to have a functional role in mitigation of a shock of joint loading, or a smooth movement of the joint. Therefore, the extract of Actinidia arguta can be utilized also for medical fields, such as prevention or improvement of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, suppurative arthritis, and gouty arthritis, and skin aging-prevention, and is expected to be applied to foods, cosmetics, quasi drugs, pharmaceuticals, and the like.
