Disclosed is a pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition comprising: (i) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1 or a sequence which is at least 70% identical to said sequence, or a functional portion of any of said sequences, wherein said portion comprises at least 100 amino acids； and/or (ii) one or more nucleic acid molecules encoding a polypeptide as set forth in (i) or a complementary sequence thereof； and one or more pharmaceutically or cosmetically acceptable excipients and/or diluents, wherein SEQ ID NO: 1 is known as Choriolysin L and is isolated from Atlantic salmon.
