PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article wherein a skin-fitting face in a middle part in a width direction of an absorbent body easily stick to an excretory site of a user, an excreted body fluid is rapidly absorbed in the absorbent body, twist is hardly generated in the side of the absorbent main body, and an excretion hardly leaks from the side.
SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 has a vertically long absorbent main body 10 which is equipped with a surface sheet 2 forming the skin-fitting face, a rear surface sheet 3 forming a non-skin-fitting face, and a vertically long absorber 4 located between both sheets 2 and 3. In at least an excretory site-countering part A of the absorbent main body 10, a pair of side parts 41 and 41 in the absorber 4 is more strongly compressed than a middle part 42 in the width direction located amidst the pair of the side parts 41 and 41, thereby they form a pair of high-compression areas P. The high-compression areas P are formed to outer ends 43 in the width direction of the absorber 4 but not formed to front and rear ends 44 and 45 in a longitudinal direction of the absorber 4.
