A non-contact method for detecting heart rhythm is disclosed herein. The method for detecting heart rhythm includes extracting a heartbeat signal by sensing a change in the skin color of a person on the transmitting end and a movement of the head by an image sensor. Changes in facial skin color can reflect changes in light source, changes in head position, and changes in facial blood volume. Among them, the facial blood volume will change with the rhythm of the heartbeat.
