PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-irritant liquid composition for the oral cavity exerting bactericidal effect on bacteria living in the oral cavity and good in appearance stability.SOLUTION: The liquid composition for the oral cavity comprises (A) a cationic bactericide, (B) methyl p-oxybenzoate and ethyl p-oxybenzoate, (C) a polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil with an average addition number of moles of ethylene oxide of 40-100 or a 16-18C polyoxyethylene alkyl ether with an average addition number of moles of ethylene oxide of 10-50 and (D) 1-menthol.
