PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe pin which can be used stably for long time.SOLUTION: A probe pin is made from a material which is Ag based alloy of 50.2 mass% to 85 mass%, In or/and Sn of 0.2 to 3.0 mass%, 8 to 35 mass% of Pd, 6 to 40 mass% of Cu with inevitable impurities (total 100 mass%), and has a Vickers hardness of 200 to 400 by conducting an aging treatment at 250 to 500°C after rolling or/and wire drawing with rolling ratio [rolling ratio (%)=((sheet thickness before rolling-sheet thickness after rolling)/sheet thickness before rolling)×100] or a cross section area reduction ratio [cross section area reduction ratio (%)=((cross section area before wire drawing-cross section area after wire drawing)/cross section area before wire drawing)×100] of 40%, a difference of hardness before and after the aging treatment [=hardness after the aging treatment-hardness before the aging treatment] of 10 or more as a Vickers hardness and a specific resistance of 15 μ&OHgr; cm or less.
