1. An anhydrous oral care composition containing an effective amount of a zirconium complex with an amino acid suspended in a hydrophobic carrier to prevent, reduce or suppress dentin hypersensitivity. 2. The composition of claim 1, wherein the zirconium complex with an amino acid is selected from the group consisting of a zirconium complex with glycine, a zirconium complex with alanine, a zirconium complex with arginine, a zirconium complex with threonine, a zirconium complex with lysine, a zirconium complex with leucine, a zirconium complex with tryptophan, a complex of zirconium with phenylalanine, a complex of zirconium with valine, a complex of zirconium with methionine, and a combination of two or more of these complexes. 3. A composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the complex of zirconium with an amino acid is a complex of zirconium with glycine. The composition of claim 1, wherein the hydrophobic carrier is an ingredient selected from the group consisting of: oil, wax, silicone, and a combination of two or more of the above. The composition of claim 1, wherein the hydrophobic carrier is an oil selected from the group consisting of: vegetable oil, silicone oil, and a combination thereof. The composition of claim 1, wherein the hydrophobic carrier is a C-C triglyceride. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the hydrophobic carrier is medium chain triglycerides (SCC), polyethylene glycol, silicone fluid, mineral oil, propylene glycol, or a combination of two or more of the above. The composition of claim 1, wherein the hydrophobic carrier is SCC. 9. The composition according to claim 1, in which the complex of zirconium with an amino acid is contained in an amount of from about 0.01 mA1.
