If the similarity level is higher than a fixed level, the control unit performs an operation by a command corresponding to the indicator(S850,S860).본 발명은 휴대 단말기 및 그 동작 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 휴대 단말기의 동작 방법은, 기준 뇌파와 매칭된 인디케이터를 표시하고, 사용자의 뇌파와 기준 뇌파의 유사도를 산출하여 유사도가 소정값 이상인 경우, 인디케이터에 대응하는 사용자 명령에 따라 동작을 수행한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 사용자의 뇌파로 휴대 단말기를 동작시킬 수 있기 때문에 사용자 인터페이스를 확장시킬 수 있다.
