PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a tip of a fishing rod which has improved reliability in engagement of a fishing rod tip component while preventing the rod from being damaged, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The fishing rod tip component forms a fishing rod tip area 10 at a stopper 10A having a larger diameter than an immediate rear part 10B of the tip for mounting the tip, and forms a mounting base thereof at a trough-like base TA formed by notching a part of the circumference of the mounting base. An inner circumferential surface of the trough-like base is along the shape of the stopper.
