PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter and an atomizer for preventing contamination of a fluid to be atomized.SOLUTION: An atomizer is in the form of an inhaler for medical aerosol therapy, which has a container containing a fluid and atomizes a fluid. In the atomizer or the container, a filter 42 is provided which has such fine openings 43 that it is at least substantially germ-proof, as a protective device for preventing the contamination of the fluid with germs.
