(2S)-2-amino-3-(3,4-bis((2-(benzoyloxy)-2- methylpropanoyl)oxy)phenyl)propanoic acid or a salt or solvate thereof is a levodopa prodrug that imparts steady movement of levodopa through the blood when orally administered and is therefore useful as a preventive or therapeutic drug for the treatment of Parkinsons disease and/or Parkinsonism that overcomes the problems associated with levodopa pharmaceutical preparations.
