PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the initial liquid-permeability, the dynamic filling quantity, and the quantity of residual blood of a cardiotomy filter.
SOLUTION: The cardiotomy filter 1 has a filter member 11 composed of a screen filter 12 and a pair of support materials 13a and 13b disposed with the screen filter in-between. The filter member 11 is pleated in a first direction 91, and bent in a second direction 92 crossing the first direction. A pair of end edges 11b and 11c of the filter member crossing the second direction 92 are sealed.
