PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the initial liquid-permeability, the dynamic filling quantity, and the quantity of residual blood of a cardiotomy filter.
SOLUTION: The cardiotomy filter 1 has a filter member 11 composed of a screen filter 12 and a pair of support materials 13a and 13b disposed only on one side in a first direction 91 of the screen filter with the screen filter in-between. The filter member is pleated in the first direction and is cylindrically formed in such a way that a second direction 92 crossing the first direction is the circumferential direction. The end edge of the filter member on the other side in the first direction is sealed.
