PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent endoscope apparatus acquiring a white-light image and a plurality of kinds of fluorescent images in one observation mode while suppressing the reduction of the frame rate of the white-light image as small as possible.
SOLUTION: The fluorescent endoscope apparatus includes: a light source 1a which emits light including white light for observing the morphology of a target for observation and a plurality of kinds of excitation light for exciting a plurality of kinds of fluorescent substances present within the target for observation white-light component transmitting parts 1b2 and 1b4 which transmit white-light component of the light emitted from the light source a rotary filter 1b having a plurality of kinds of excitation light component transmitting parts 1b1 and 1b3 which respectively transmit a plurality of kinds of excitation light components of the light emitted from the light source in the same circumferential direction and imaging parts 22 which receive the white light reflected on the target for observation and the plurality of kinds of fluorescent light emitted from the target for observation to output a white-light image and a plurality of fluorescent images with the plurality of kinds of fluorescent light. The frame rate of the white-light image output from the imaging part is larger than the frame rates of the respective fluorescent images.
