A thermoformed tray made of material from the group consisting essentially of PET, RPET, HDPE, and RHDPE and a method of making the tray. The tray has a blunt and substantially smooth outer peripheral flange that will not cut a plastic overwrap film, such as LDPE. Referring now to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals designate identical or corresponding parts throughout the several views, FIG. 1 is a perspective view of one embodiment of a thermoformed packaging tray 10 preferably comprising PET, RPET, HDPE or RHDPE material. Le plateau présente un rebord extérieur périphérique émoussé et sensiblement lisse qui ne coupera pas un film de suremballage en matière plastique, tel quun polyéthylène basse densité (LDPE). Se référant à présent aux dessins, dans lesquels des chiffres de référence se rapportent à des parties identiques ou correspondantes pour les différentes vues, la FIG. 1 est une vue en perspective dun mode de réalisation dun plateau de conditionnement thermoformé 10, comprenant de préférence un matériau en PET, RPET, HDPE ou RHDPE. Les techniques et les procédés de thermoformage dun plateau à partir dun matériau en PET, RPET, HDPE ou RHDPE sont bien connus des personnes qui possèdent des compétences ordinaires en la matière. Il nest dès lors pas nécessaire de discuter davantage du procédé de thermoformage.
