The present invention relates to a carbohydrate mixture comprising a first fiber containing material and a second fiber containing material wherein the first fiber containing material is arabinoxylan-oligosaccharides having an average degree of polymerisation of at least 2 to 100 and optionally xylo-oligosaccharides having an average degree of polymerisation of at least 2 to 100, and wherein the second fiber containing carbohydrate based material is polydextrose and/or hydrogenated polydextrose, and wherein said arabinoxylan-oligosaccharides and optionally xylo-oligosaccharides are water soluble.
